Q: Can we accept an ad for the sale of a slot machine?

A: We recommend against accepting ads that offer slot machines or other gambling devices for sale. Under Pennsylvania law, a person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree if he "intentionally or knowingly... sells, lends, leases, gives away, or offers for sale...any punch board, drawing card, slot machine or any device to be used for gambling purposes, except playing cards...."

Based on this statute, the PNA recommends against accepting ads that propose to sell slot machines or other gambling-related merchandise.
