PAGE Cooperative names Walters to marketing & membership development manager

Gretchen Walters, formerly Marketing & Development Manager of Muller Martini Mailroom Systems, Inc., has been named Marketing and Membership Development Manager of PAGE Cooperative. She had been with Muller Martini for the past twelve years in a variety of marketing management positions.

In this new management position approved recently by the PAGE Board of Directors, Ms. Walters will focus on developing and implementing a comprehensive process to bring the PAGE membership and PAGE Preferred Suppliers closer to each other for mutual benefit to the members, the suppliers, and the Cooperative. She will work closely with PAGE General Manager, John Snyder, and with Assistant General Manager, Stephen Schroeder, to maximize the benefits of the suppliers’ purchasing programs throughout the vast PAGE membership.

PAGE is a classic Purchasing Cooperative and the newspaper industry’s largest purchasing group. This Cooperative is owned totally by its 265 member newspaper companies who publish 565 daily newspapers with a combined daily circulation near 12,000,000. Including the non-daily and commercial printing facilities, there are over 1,700 PAGE publishing locations in all 50 states. For its members, PAGE Cooperative purchases from over 130 Preferred PAGE Suppliers many supplies including newsprint, ink, and graphic arts supplies; along with a variety of equipment, systems and services for both publishing and online/new media activities. Recently, PAGE has broadened its services to include revenue producing programs and a new membership committee addressing the online and technical applications of today’s and tomorrow’s news distribution requirements.
