Some Beaver County Times employees laid off

The Beaver County Times in Bridgewater has laid off 10 full-time and 11 part-time employees as part of an effort to eliminate duplication of duties and to streamline production.

The employees were notified Monday, Jan. 14.

Publisher Alan Buncher said that although he was distressed about the effects of the layoffs, they were necessary to keep the newspaper viable and be able to adjust to the changes in the media environment in western Pennsylvania.
