Diana Block named Pittsburgh Post-Gazette co-publisher

Diana Block was named co-publisher of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and The Blade of Toledo, Ohio, effective June 1.
Ms. Block, 34, will continue in her current role as general manager for the Post-Gazette.
A great-granddaughter of Paul Block, who first published the Post-Gazette in 1927, Ms. Block has held previous jobs at the newspaper including vice president of operations, systems director and reporter.
John Robinson Block will continue as the Post-Gazette's co-publisher and editor-in-chief. David Beihoff will continue as president of the Post-Gazette and vice president of newspapers for Block Communications Inc., which owns the Post-Gazette and The Blade.
Allan Block, chairman of Block Communications Inc., said he welcomed Ms. Block's growing contributions.
"Diana represents the fourth generation of our family in the business, and she brings a younger perspective and new ideas to the table," he said. "In her role as co-publisher, I expect her to continue to find creative new revenue streams."
