Former Intercounty Newspaper Group executive, Jane Parr, dies

Jane J. Parr, 54, of Yardley, lost her long and courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, surrounded by her family and friends, who comprised her world.

Jane, the daughter of the late Jack D. and Helen T. Kutzler, of Philadelphia, is sorely missed by her husband Russell and her sons John Patrick and James, still at home; her brothers John (Cathy) and Patrick (Claire) Kutzler, of Philadelphia and her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends.

Jane J. Parr attended St. Basil’s Academy in Abington and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University.
Jane was very proud to be executive vice president in charge of a chain of 22 weekly newspapers, which circulated in Bucks County and New Jersey. One of her professional passions was the identification and grooming of unrecognized talent. Her employees thrived under her auspices. After 20 years at Intercounty Newspaper Group she retired, but was tricked by her husband into eventually becoming a brilliant chief financial officer for her husband’s company, Intellectual Property Research Associates. Her enthusiasm, support and creativity allowed their company to flourish.

Jane’s special passion, aside from caring for her family and home, traveling with Russell, planning parties and summers in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, was gardening. She achieved the title of Master Gardener and was a member of the Martha Washington Gardening Club. She loved gardening.
