From Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, July 19
Former Post-Gazette editor hired at Pitt
Madelyn Ross, former managing editor of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and The Pittsburgh Press, has been named associate vice chancellor for national media relations at the University of Pittsburgh.
She will assume the post Aug. 1, Pitt announced July 18. Ross, 56, of Brighton Heights, will work to increase Pitt's visibility in major national news outlets and will report to Robert Hill, vice chancellor for public affairs.
"There are so many things going on at Pitt that really have, I think, national interest," Ross said. "It's going to be up to me to sort of craft the notion of these ideas, but the raw material is plentiful."
