Journal Publications names Kluger president and shareholder

Journal Publications Inc. of Harrisburg, which publishes the Central Penn Business Journal, Central Penn Parent, NJBiz and other publications, named Lawrence M. Kluger president and shareholder, with responsibility for operations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Previously, he was executive vice president and shareholder.

Prior to joining JPI, Kluger was president and chief executive officer of Winemiller Communications Inc. He has a bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University and is a graduate of the Wharton Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania.

Peter Burke was named president of JPI's Best Companies Group. Prior to creating and managing BCG, which indentifies and recognizes the best companies for which to work statewide and around the country, he was associate publisher of the Business Journal for six years. He has a bachelor's degree in economics from Boston College.

David A. Schankweiler will retain the title of CEO and publisher. He has an accounting degree from King's College in Wilkes-Barre.

Kelly Nagurny was named an event coordinator. She also is a professional writing and English tutor with Harrisburg Area Community College. Previously, she was an office manager with TherAbilities Inc. of Lower Paxton Township. She has an associate's degree in commmunications and arts from HACC and a bachelor's degree in communications from Penn State University.
