Theodore Andrew "Ted" Serrill
THEODORE ANDREW 'TED', 93 of Palm Harbor, FL, died on Sat., Jan. 1, 2005 at Mease Hospital Dunedin. Member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Born in
Phila. PA, he moved to the Seminole, FL area in the early 80's from Edgewater, MD. He graduated from Cahill RC High School in
Phila. in 1928 and Penn State University with a degree in Journalism in 1932. He retired as the Exec. Vice Pres. of the National Newspaper Assoc. in Wash., D.C. prior to which he served as Deputy Director of War Loans for the 3rd Federal Reserve Dist. in
Phila. He worked for the Easton Express in Easton, PA and the Pennsylvania
Newspaper Publishers Assoc. where he became the Executive Director and served for 13 years. He received 2 presidential appointments during his 16 years as Exec. Vice Pres. for the National Newspaper Assn. in Wash., D.C. He was the publisher of the Pinellas County Review in Pinellas County, FL, a member of the Rotary Club of Seminole and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Seminole, FL. He was a member and fellow of the Presidents Club at Penn State Univ. Memorial Services will be held Sat. Jan. 8, 2005 at 1 P.M. at the E. JAMES REESE FUNERAL HOME in Seminole, FL. He is survived by his wife Patricia W.
Serrill, sons Ted M. Serrill of Edison, NJ, James A. Serrill of Las Vegas, NV, stepsons Marc Schaffer of Newnan, GA and Eric P. Schaffer, Spokane, WA, stepdaughter Jill S. Smith of Clearwater, FL, brother John Serrill of Warminster, PA and his aunt Philomena Lenahan Monoghahan of Baltimore, MD; he is also survived by 5 grandchildren; predeceased by his brother Thomas A. Serrill of Hatboro, PA and his first wife Marguerite "Peg' Ferner
