Kocher names Troutman as assistant editor of the Upper
Dauphin Sentinel.
Louise B. Troutman has been named assistant editor of the Upper Dauphin Sentinel effective
Jan. 11, Sentinel Publisher Ben L. Kocher announced.
In her new position, Troutman will assist Sentinel Editor Duane Good in the planning and preparation of each issue, and on Mondays she will direct the layout and design of the newspaper pages prior to printing.
In addition, she occasionally will write news stories and take photographs to be published in the newspaper.
Troutman will continue as manager of the Sentinel's classified advertising section, a position she has held for the past several years.
A native of Millersburg where she still resides, Troutman has been with the newspaper since 1983. She began as a typist of news and classifieds. She also has played a key role in page production for many years.
Troutman is the daughter of Esther Sims of Millersburg and Harry Dietz, now deceased, of Millersburg. She has two daughters, Dana and Kristin. She is a member of David's Church in Killinger.
