William Kennedy, a 29-year newspaper veteran and the former executive editor of a Kansas newspaper, has become the executive editor of The Indiana Gazette

Tony Klimko, longtime Valley News Dispatch reporter, dies at 62.
Tony Klimko, a reporter at the Valley News Dispatch for more than 30 years, has died.

Klimko, of Mount Oliver, died Jan. 25 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was 62. The cause of death was not given.

Kocher names Troutman as assistant editor of the Upper Dauphin Sentinel.
Louise B. Troutman has been named assistant editor of the Upper Dauphin Sentinel effective Jan. 11, Sentinel Publisher Ben L. Kocher announced.

Copy Editors Workshop with Gene Foreman

10 a.m.-3 p.m., Feb. 14, PNA headquarters, Cost: $85 

This workshop concentrates on basic editing skills and how to recognize and correct the most common mistakes that journalists make in writing news copy. Foreman ran day-to-day operations of The Philadelphia Inquirer for 25 years and is currently Foster Professor at Penn State University.

Right to Know posters to be distributed throughout the state.
The PNA, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General and the Institute for Law Enforcement Education, has created a poster to explain Pennsylvania's Right to Know Law. Posters will be distributed to police departments throughout the state.

Pennsylvania's Open Records Law, also called the Right to Know Law guarantees your right to see public records held by agencies, including police departments.
