Morning Call captures first gold ADDY ever.
The Greater Lehigh Valley Ad Club (GLVAC) presented The Morning Call with one gold, two silver and three bronze ADDYs at its 2004-2005 ADDY Awards Ceremony for advertising creative excellence March 4 at The Meadows in Hellertown.
The gold ADDY was awarded for The Morning Call's circulation campaign, "Read It! Clip It! Pass It On!" The silver ADDYs were for the mixed media campaign promoting The Morning Call's new Colossal Classifieds section and for an advertisement titled "ADDY's Passion" that appeared in last year's ADDY Awards program book. All three entries were written by copywriter Kimberly Hassler and designed by designer Shelby Schwartz.
The bronze ADDYs were for an Eagles playoff poster and a #1 Northampton County billboard, both designed by designer Michael Germanetti; and a circus contest ad campaign designed by designer Sarah Evans.
A total of 171 entries were received by the Greater Lehigh Valley Ad Club. Nineteen gold ADDYs and 75 silver ADDY Awards were presented.
