By Rick Stouffer
Two new division production directors have been named at the Tribune-Review Publishing Co., Chief Operating Officer Ralph J. Martin announced.
Richard Webb is the new South Division Production Director, responsible for all production and printing for Tribune-Review Publishing's south zone, including the Tribune-Review in Greensburg, the Connellsville Daily Courier, the Valley Independent in Monessen and the Dispatch in Blairsville.
Chet Cleaver is the North Division Production Director, responsible for all production and printing for the publishing company's North Zone properties, including the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Valley News Dispatch in Tarentum, the Leader Times in Kittanning and Gateway Newspapers.
"Both men have the experience to manage multiple printing facilities and to deal with the myriad of publishing equipment necessary to compete in today's environment," said Martin. "This knowledge and skill will be valuable as we move forward."
A 39-year company veteran, Webb began his career with the Tribune-Review in 1966 as an electronic technician. During nearly four decades with the company, Webb was heavily involved in the transition to new production technology at the Tribune-Review in Greensburg, and as director of operations was part of the team that developed the company's state-of-the-art production and printing facility in Marshall. He also helped develop a communications system that allows all the properties to exchange news and information.
Cleaver began his printing career 32 years ago, and since 2004 has been director of operations for Westminster Holdings Inc., parent company of Gateway Newspapers and the Pittsburgh Pennysaver. He was responsible for the pre-press, inserting, commercial printing and information technology departments.
