Pennsylvania has $35 million available
to companies for employee training

There are currently $35 million dollars in state funded grants available within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to assist companies with employee training. Environmental, health & safety and information technology training programs are just some of the areas offered by Compliance Management International that are eligible for funding under this program. Grant applications must be submitted by July 15, 2004 to quality for the 2004-2005 fiscal year.

Last year 90 percent of all applications were approved. The average grant was $25,000.

The Guaranteed Free Training (GFT) Program is operated by the WEDnetPA Partners and can provide assistance up to $450 per employee for basic skills training (i.e. safety, DOT, etc.) and is limited to $75,000 per company per fiscal year. For information technology training there is a $700 per employee cap and is limited to $50,000 per company per fiscal year.

To apply for the grant, a simple two-page application, along with a basic training plan outline will need to be completed. The training plan outline can be easily modified throughout the year to accommodate any changes. Compliance Management International can assist in filling out the application, if requested.
