Beaver County now offers an early report
Starting at 7 p.m., readers may check out previews of the next day's edition at timesonline, the online home of the Beaver County Times. Executive Editor Keith Briscoe said more changes are on the way as the paper increases its internet broadcasting presence.

Norristown publisher takes Trenton, N.J., job, former Altoona Mirror publisher to Norristown
William T. Murray, publisher of The (Norristown) Times Herald, has been appointed publisher of The Trentonian in Trenton, N.J. Stephen A. Roszczyk, former publisher of the Altoona Mirror, has been named as Murray's replacement.

A federal court ruled that "perp walks," where accused criminals are led by police to a courthouse or jail in front of the media, do not violate the accused person's right to privacy.

Hacker attacks Real Cities Network
The Read Cities Network -- 32 Web Sites operated by Knight Ridder -- were out of service Sept. 9 following an attack on the company's network. The network includes philly.com, centredaily.com and timesleader.com.
